The Electrical Maintenance Mechanic I Will Install, Maintain, Troubleshoot, & Repair All Electrical, Lighting, Card Access And Closed Circuit Television Systems Within City Facilities. The Job Requires The Knowledge And Experience In The Installation Of New Electrical Systems From The Ground Up, The Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair Existing Old And New Electrical Equipment, And A Working Knowledge Of The Card Access System And CCTV Computer Software. This Position Will Work Under The Direction Of The Electrician; It Requires Working With Minimal Supervision And Necessitates Having The Ability To Make Independent Job-related Decisions. The Employee Must Have The Ability To Meet All Local And State Fire Codes And The Security Needs Of The Facility. The Successful Applicant Should Have The Knowledge And Ability To Operate Electrical Hand And Power Tools, Network Interface Equipment, And A Computer. This Employee Should Have Knowledge And Understanding Of Occupational Safety And Health Administration Policies And Procedures; Must Obtain And Maintain A City Journeyman's Card To Remain In This Position; Comply With All Local, State And National Electrical Codes; And Must Be Able To Follow Written And Verbal Instructions. The Physical Duties Of The Job Include; Bending, Stooping, Standing, Walking, Kneeling, Climbing Ladders, Pushing, Pulling, Reaching And Lifting Up To 50 Lbs.
